Being a member has its perks

We welcome everyone who walks through our door.  Not only will you receive personal, professional service, your $5.00 membership share will also entitle you to benefit from the great things that being a member includes:

  • you become an owner of SCU
  • you will share in our profits
  • you get to have a say in who makes the big decisions
  • you get to have a vote on lots of those big decisions at our Annual General Meeting

What will I need?
All you'll need is 2 pieces of ID. Acceptable identification includes Driver's License, Canadian Citizenship card, Saskatchewan Health Care, Indian Status, Birth Certificate or Passport.

What's with the $5.00?
Another good question. The $5.00 it takes to sign up becomes your investment in equity shares. We don't even keep the money. It goes into a special share in your name and the money is always yours. Plus, these shares entitle you to receive dividends based on our financial performance.

What about my other bank accounts?
This is easy. If you're already banking somewhere else, there are two things to know:

  1. You don't have to switch all of your existing accounts to SCU in order to become a member.
  2. If you do decide to switch, we'll take care of it and make the transition nice and smooth.
