Investment Specialist/CFP Assistant

The Position:

Reporting to the Certified Financial Planner, this full time position provides financial service to members/clients while supporting the CFP in duties relative to the portfolio within a multi-branch Credit Union 

You will:

- Provide service to existing Investment Clients

  • Proactively contact members
  • Conduct annual account reviews
  • Identify potential referrals to the financial planner
  • Process Mutual Funds and Term Deposit business referred back to the credit union from the financial planner

- Provide support to the Financial Planner

  • Client contact/problem resolution
  • Assist in marketing activities

- Provide estate service to members

Ideal Candidates will have:

- Grade 12 diploma

- Mutual fund license

- Above average organizational and time management skills.

- An understanding of the interrelationships between customer service and profitability

- Above average verbal and written communication skills

- Above average software application skill in order to manage work and increase productivity and efficiency

- A willingness to work as a team demonstrating flexibility and adaptability

- Ability to function in a fast-paced working environment

- Commitment to continuous learning and development
